Played AoM Retold for 2 hours now, and wow, it’s awesome 👍 Literally has vibes from AoE 1 through 4 all in one game! Mainly takes after AoE 2 and 3, which is perfect for me. One downside though: the Chinese myth content is pretty off. Feels like the team didn’t dive deep into the real stories behind it. Wish they’d put more effort here 🫤
RTS with one of the best campaign out there! never play this game back when i was a kid, i was a warcraft/starcraft kid then. but damn isnt this game so good!
Age of Mythology was one of the first strategy games I ever played, and honestly, one of the first games I played in general. Coming back to it in Retold feels like a huge wave of nostalgia. The best part is that this isn't just a simple remaster. The game looks better than ever while still keeping the charm that made the original so memorable. Seeing the myths, gods, mythical creatures, and civilizations brought to life with modern visuals has been a lot of fun. I also appreciate that the developers have continued to support the game with updates, adding new civilizations, gods, and content instead of simply relying on nostalgia alone. For longtime fans, it's a great way to revisit a classic. For new players, it's still one of the most unique RTS games out there, blending mythology and strategy in a way that few games have managed to replicate. A nostalgic trip done right.
