Antonblast is a fast-paced explosive action platformer that's all about destruction. Play as the enraged Dynamite Anton (or his cranked-out coworker Annie) and use your Mighty F’n Hammer to demolish bizarre worlds, tussle with screen-filling bosses, and steal your Spirits back from Satan!

Runs well on modern hardware.

Antonblast irritates me so much because, instead of being an amazing game, it is just an Ok one at best. There are a lot of small but annoying things that are hurting the streamlined flow, but with how the maps are structured, you have to go slow and make precise jumps. Antonblast has the feel of an unhinged and messy WarriorWare-type game that should go as fast as possible without any regard for your own life, but the health and checkpoint system are also ruining the intended flow of the game. Also, the maps are way too big for their own good; I do not have much of an appetite to find every item or secret, and just want to finish them ASAP. Maybe PizzaTower spoiled my senses, or I prefer its gameplay much more, and I do not want to compare these games that much with each other, but if there might be a continuation with the same gameplay, I would not mind if devs took a little bit of inspiration from that game more. But the wacky, messy, loud, sometimes even eerie art style of Antonblast should be unchanged; that is the strong part of the game overall. Side note, but there should be more Devil-like characters that are not ashamed of their buttocks and spreading their ass cheeks proudly. Whaat? Just saying facts!
Once you get past how visually and audibly overwhelming this game is, I found it to be a really quite fun platformer with some really incredible movement and a lot of funny gags. It constantly does new stuff and it keeps itself fresh for it's runtime EASILY. Definitely good for people who also like working on perfection and speedrunning.
Concrete Jungle is lowk the only good thing in this game and this games extra ♥♥♥♥ is tough as nails and they lowk actually fumbled the end update. More modding support needs to be added as well. (If you do time trials and try going for the cracked ranking you will think about suicide more than once)
