ARC Raiders is a 2025 multiplayer third-person extraction shooter developed and published by Embark Studios for the platforms PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S, built on the game engine Unreal Engine 5. It can be played solo, or in teams of two or three. The game has received generally favorable reviews from critics, and it was awarded Best Multiplayer Game at The Game Awards 2025 and Online Game of the Year at the 29th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards.

Runs well on modern hardware.

Unfortunately with the Riven Tides update, which killed photoelectric cloak utility and added a baffling durability nerf to sub-epic weapons, Embark is joining the club with Helldivers 2 devs Arrowhead in the mission of nerfing fun out of the game. The Wolfpack, Hullcracker, Deadline, and Trailblazer nerfs were bad enough but it’s becoming a little silly at this point.
Well, almost 700 hours after, this is the day I uninstall ARCRaiders... It was incredible in the begining when all of us were amazed by the beautiful scenarios and many were trying to coop against ARC (as game lore makes us think we should). In my opinion it was totally predictable that the game would turn more and more PvP simply because it's an option that the game gives you and it is easier for many guys to kill players in 3rd person than to take the effort of looking for items for hours and hours.. I agree that it is impossible to please everyone and that a PvE-only mode wouldn't be on the taste of many players. But the way lobbies are today - where you can't play trios/duos just trying to kill ARC's - is making people give up aswell... Today I was the one. With all this new hard ARC's and Closed Scrutinity I though (and maybe devs thought aswell) that players would try to play together so they stood a chance against Vaporizers for example. Maybe in solos it works (not as much as before), but I simply can't play the game with friends. We have no chance but to fight humans and most of the cases we have to do it while lootin the matrix -with rocketeers and Vaporizers shooting us aswell - or fighting Vaporizers, and it gets really frustrating. And honestly I think it makes no sense due to the game lore. This lack of control on PvPvE is making the lore look like mankind is dying to ARC's and keep shooting each other in the back to loot resources that would serve to nothing because mankind would be wiped out by humans anyway... it makes no sense. It is just a game, I know, and an awesome one but the whole lore doesn't match the gameplay... Sadly, this was the last day for me after hundreds of hours. Maybe I'll come back if PvE mode comes ou. If not, no problem. I'll find something to play with friends. EDIT: reinstalled it to help a friend with last project and to sign up and finish my own expedition. The opinion is the same. The game is awesome, I'm just tired of the gameplay. My best advise for some of the people that are sour on comments is: Try to read better and interpretate text better because no one is crying and never said that the game should be PvE only. Thank you for the great majority of positive comments (even when don't agree with others opinions). And sorry for the bad english xD
Arcs are one of the best PvE experience you'd get in all gaming, very interesting and challenging designs, Insane AI. that is if you could actually do any PvE at all. It goes more like this: 1. Recieve a "Kill Bastion" mission. Cool, i love hunting big robots! 2. Prepare your gear to kill a bastion 3. 2 teams gang up on you because any noise you or the arc would make can be heard from 200m away, and you are an idiot for trying to engage with any arcs at all. Fun game for the first 150 hours, gets stale very fast. cant wait for the inevitable pve update so i can kill huge robots in peace
