Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is a 2023 mecha-based vehicular combat game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. A part of the Armored Core series, it released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. A reboot of the series, the game is set in the distant future on the remote planet Rubicon 3. There, a war erupts between corporations, the government and the remnants of the planet's colonists for control of Coral, a rare and incredibly powerful energy source unique to Rubicon once thought to have been destroyed in a cataclysm. The main character, C4-621, is a cyborg mercenary pilot who, after meeting a Rubiconian named Ayre, influences through their actions what will become of the Coral and Rubicon itself.

Runs well on modern hardware.

Finished the game four times already and did all three endings, so I can at least review the game as a whole. This game offers so many customisation options unrivalled by other games, besides other AC games in the series from what I've heard. You will micromanage every small aspect of your AC because a singular part won't make that much of an impact, but all of the parts of your AC will have a drastic impact on the capabilities and playstyle of your mech making it unique. This is also compounded by the fact that this game WANTS you to experiment. If you buy a part and you don't like it you can always sell it to get an 100% refund so you can try other parts out to slowly tweak your AC to your liking. Replayability is also high due to the aforementioned three different endings this game has to offer in new game, new game plus, and new game plus plus. Now as of the performance for me it runs smooth besides when some very intensive graphical effects take place which is quite rare. Having said that I am attaching my PC specs to the review to see that my computer is not just a mid range computer. I would recommend this game to everyone. If you can spare the money to buy it full price do it, otherwise wait for a discount. Regardless of your financial situation I would have it on my radar and it would be a real shame to not buy this game.
Best FromSoftware Game
I got this game through Steam Support because my Steam Controller delivery got delayed. Honestly? Best choice I could’ve made. Armored Core VI is just insanely fun. Huge mechs fighting other mechs and giant machines, amazing soundtrack, heavy weapons, fast movement, and a ton of customization. Every build feels different, and changing parts actually matters instead of just being cosmetic. The bosses are great, the atmosphere is cold and industrial, and the game constantly makes you want to try new setups. Finished NG++ and I can EASILY say this is my favorite FromSoftware game. Cool mechs, big guns, peak music, 10/10.
TL;DR One of, if not the greatest action adventure RPGs to date. Full Review: I'll be completely honest, I am a hardcore AC fan. My dad played. I played. I have some of my fondest memories with this franchise, and this game is just an upgrade in everyway... unless you've played For Answer :*) As far as AC:VI Fires of Rubicon, I had a blast and still am after playing the story 3 times (different endings each time with new missions) im not a completionist by any means but this one was fun to do! If you never tried Armored Core, you can get through a lot before the 2 hour window and see how you like it and refund it if you don't.
