Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore is a new interactive animated adventure, where players must help Arzette save the Kingdom of Faramore from the evil demon king, Daimur. It is a spiritual successor to a pair of infamous fantasy adventure titles, being developed by Seedy Eye Software and both funded & published by Limited Run Games. The Kingdom of Faramore is beautifully realized by Rob Dunlavey, the artist behind the world map paintings from the games that inspired Arzette. Additionally, voiceover talent from the games that inspired Arzette will be featured in the game, including Jeffrey Rath and Bonniejean Wilbur.

Runs well on modern hardware.
“Mah boi, this game is what all true players strive for!” Pretty cool game. A 2D Zelda-style game with Metroidvania mechanics. It has an unique jazzy soundtrack, funny and entertaining cutscenes, and a pretty colorful artstyle. What surprised me the most was that they were able to make a somewhat serious, but enjoyable story, even with its goofy cinematics and voice acting. I guess some of my complaints are that there were some sections where I needed to take a leap of faith because I couldn’t see what was below, and a map would be nice so I could analyze and remember the places before backtracking. But these are pretty minor issues that can be easily overlooked. 4 / 5
Genuinely charming and funny game. A love letter to all the developers to the CD-i console and fans of internet culture. Highly recommended for anyone who's a fan of the AVGN reviews, the YTPs or just good, honest platforming fun.
This is such a wonderful homage to the CD-i Zelda games. As someone who enjoyed those cutscenes ad nauseam during the golden age of Youtube Poops, it delighted me to see all these animated cutscenes in similar style, humor and cornyness. The gameplay is also a reference to the CD-i games, except it plays smoothly like a modern game. It seems there is a "Classic Mode" where the controls become like the CD-i games but I haven't unlocked that. The game may be short, a bit over 5 hours to 100% a run, but even on full price this game is worth it. So much love has been put into this game. This is truly a "Pooplike".
