Baba Is You is a puzzle video game created by Arvi Teikari, a Finnish independent developer. The game centers around the manipulation of "rules"—represented in the play area by movable tiles with words written on them—in order to allow the player character, usually the titular Baba, to reach a specified goal. Originating as a short demo built for the 2017 Nordic Game Jam, the game was expanded and released on 13 March 2019 for PC and Nintendo Switch. Mobile versions were released in June 2021. A free update titled "Baba Make Level" was released on November 17, 2021, featuring 250 new and previously unused levels and a level editor with online sharing. Baba Is You received generally favorable reviews from critics.

Runs well on modern hardware.

This game is amazing. It gets VERY difficult near the later puzzles dont get me wrong, but it is immensely satisfying to solve because of this.
Baba is by far one of my favorite puzzle games on Steam, not only due its incredibly charming art and great music, but because its one of the most unique sokoban (box pushing) games around. The mechanics are simple: you string nouns, verbs and conjunctions together and they rewrite the rules of the stage. Because of that, most stages don't have a fixed solution. Even though using the words is the "obvious" solution, there are several other mechanics they expect the player to abuse, such as using the words to push stuff away, creating virtual immortality by having yourself inside yourself, duplicating stuff by abusing programming logic, even altering reality itself when it suits you. The game starts easy, then gradually ramps up until it becomes aneurism-giving hard. Later levels are basically troll/kaizo tier, expecting you to known the game inside-out to abuse every quirk you can think of. And that is without talking about the secret/meta levels that require you to complete levels in insane ways to alterate the map system itself, which you can then solve (yes, solve the map system itself) to access even harder levels, like a matryoshka doll of pure madness and box pushing. Really, I can't elaborate how difficulty the levels get. If you don't use a hint guide, you are looking at spending several hours to finish later worlds. The artwork is charming, hiding how deep this game can go. Every tile is made so you can't confuse stuff, so extra points for visual clarity. The music is also great, it surely has an unique style that I started to call "Baba Music" ever since. And best of all: its very cheap. I have no regrets on paying full price for this game during release. I surely would get the Baba plushie if the shipping cost wasn't 3x the price of the plushie.
A game that helps the player think more outside the box which then hopefully will benefit him in his real life extremely difficult after the initial 3 stages or maps, will take days to fully complete without cheating or hints, will surely give you headaches, overall recommend if you have a lot of free time and love a hard challenge
