Batman: Arkham City is a 2011 action-adventure game developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Based on the DC Comics superhero Batman, it is the sequel to the 2009 video game Batman: Arkham Asylum and the second installment in the Batman: Arkham series. Written by veteran Batman writer Paul Dini with Paul Crocker and Sefton Hill, Arkham City was inspired by the long-running comic book mythos. In the game's main storyline, Bruce Wayne is incarcerated in Arkham City, a super-prison enclosing the decaying urban slums of Gotham City. He dons his alter ego, Batman, and goes on a mission to uncover the secret behind a sinister scheme orchestrated by the facility's warden, Hugo Strange.

Runs well on modern hardware.

This game is a living proof that sequels can be bigger and better if done right! Compared to Arkham Asylum: -The world is bigger and looks amazing -The side missions are many more -The combat is more responsive and satisfying to master -The Riddler puzzles are now actual puzzles, to try and twist your mind a little -The addition of Catwoman and her unique abilities and traversal methods The only downside is a little the story, because its a bit less captivating than the Asylum one, and the time playing Catwoman feels pretty short, but nonetheless, this was an amazing sequel and worth playing!
Best super hero game I've ever played. One of the few games above all else I wish I could forget I ever played so I could experience it blind again.
This is a great game, when you buy it please for the love of god just play the story mode. I decided to 100% it and I'm regretting it every second of the way, the side content is mediocre as all hell and not worth your time. The trophies are kinda fun to hunt down but you're better off trying some puzzle game. The riddler challenges make me want to end my life, they take so much time and are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying and inconsistent. I genuinly have nothing but hate for this game at this point and it's just cos I've spent like 60 hours trying the riddler challenges. JUST DO THE STORY MODE.
