BlazBlue: Central Fiction is a 2D fighting game developed by Arc System Works. It is the fourth game to the BlazBlue series, and is set after the events of BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma. The game adds Naoto Kurogane and Hibiki Kohaku as playable characters. BlazBlue: Central Fiction marks the conclusion of the story surrounding protagonist Ragna the Bloodedge.

Runs well on modern hardware.

First time playing a BlazBlue game on PC after years of playing the previous games on Xbox 360 and PS3. It’s unfortunate that Arc System Works released the game with no English dub. Regardless it’s the final game in the C-Series as of 2026. The story answers several questions such since Calamity Trigger resulting in a great conclusion. It’s still a great fighting game with new additional characters.
I think this one is a must for most 2d fighting game fans. The single player content is good enough for players of any skill level; however multiplayer will likely only be enjoyed by serious players. I'm going to elaborate further the pro's and cons: Pro's: -This game, compared to most fighting games is rich in single player content. -It has a full overall story mode plus a full arcade story mode where players get extra, character specific story additions. -It has a sort of "RPG MODE" where players can go through dungeon stages to get all sorts of insane boost for their characters. -The game is not excessively greedy with content. If I recall there is 1 extra DLC character but even without the DLC character the roster boasts either 34 or 35 characters. -there is quite a bit of diversity in the roster so it's likely there is something for everyone. -the soundtrack is the best ive heard. -the graphics are beautiful -there are some unique features where each character has 1 of their own unique mechanics tied to a single button. -gameplay is smooth -great single player experience for anyone Cons: -the gameplay is fast -there is a dizzying number of combined system and player mechanics to mentally track -the games multiplayer is dead but discord still shows signs of life -combos are both ridiculously difficult to perform and excessively long so if your opponent does a combo on you(the game heavily favors offense) then there are not many defensive options -if you do decide to play online then expect to get the stuffing knocked out of you -terrible multiplayer for anyone less than a semi-pro -no english dubbing despite the fact that all the previous titles had english dubbing
if u wanna enjoy the game u need to love it and accept the fact that ull be destroyed if u don't took it seriously. The game is really not casual friendly and imo the story mode is pretty bad so if u just want a chill game i don't recommand it. But if u like nervous and fast fighting game that is really skilled ull love this game.
