Runs well on modern hardware.
Broken Sword is still an absolute classic of the genre that still manages to feel like exactly the sort of game point-and-click adventures were meant to be.
I would have loved to finish this game. I love broken sword,it's the game franchise my mom and I played when she was still alive. So I'm not neutral. And it's so cool that there's addition but I couldn't finish it. Because the director's cut has a massive sequence break. I didn't remember the full game and I ended up going to the Spain destination early. Normally you go to Syria first then Spain. But the director's cut lets you do the opposite. Which results later in a massive sequence break where you consume an item you're required to have when you go in Syria. And then you get softlocked and have to restart the game. I didn't have the patience and decided to buy the reforged instead. I'd still recommend but since the game is delisted, you know,a bit useless.
I can't recommend this version. It needs too much work to become playable and, even then, is prone to crashes and jank.
