Spontaneous purchase that turned out to be a wonderful experience Bought this game on a whim, because graphics looked cute and I love tile-building. Was pleasantly surprised with how well the gameplay is executed, and everyhting else, really. I very much liked that you can take a break from the planet building process and chat with your coworkers. They are super likeable characters, each is different in their own way, but ultimately brought together by shared quirkiness... The world introduced is charmingly strange, lighthearted story keeps you engaged. You progress through the game by completing builds with unique tasks. Mechanics and art change from planet to planet, so you always have something exciting to look forward to. There's also an option to keep playing after you've completed the level objectives for the shop currency (you can spruce up your office!) or score. Safe to say that it's incredibly fun--it feels rewarding to see planets become alive. Can't comment on difficulty curve yet, but so far I didn't encounter anything unfairly complex. I like it a lot.
This is exactly what I’d imagine a modern DS game could look like! Lovely puzzles, music, characters, and art. Penti must be protected at all costs (。◕‿‿◕。)
Adorably strategic in an addictive way. Overall, this game is a 9/10. The Positives: 1. Decently challenging with loads of replayability thanks to endless mode. I have only just unlocked it, but I really enjoy BGG's approach to it. Traveling from planet to planet and completing quests along the way (or you can stay on one planet) is pretty wicked to me. 2. The cast of characters is delightful. There were many instances where I genuinely laughed at dialogue during the story. Laffy reminds me way too much of myself it's laughable. Haco's bluntness is hilarious to me. She never holds back. She's a nice fit for the starring role. 3. The soundtrack is wonderful. Every song is memorable. 4. Fantastic gameplay that is stuffed full of strategy. No game is the same, which adds to replayability. Mechanics are fresh and unique on each planet. The game never feels dull to me. The Negatives: 1. You can only access settings on the main menu, but they're bare bones. No options to rebind keys. Audio sliders only impact the main menu, not the game itself. 2. Several achievements are bugged or just don't trigger. 3. You cannot save your progress while on a planet or in endless mode to come back to later. You are forced to complete the planet or end your run. 4. You are shown a tutorial every single time you go into nearly any planet, even if you have already beaten it. You can skip the tutorials, but they just shouldn't trigger at all, especially if you've either already beaten the planet or are resetting it to start the round over. 5. You are shown the cutscene of a planet's completion after returning to the office every single time, even if you have already beaten it. This also goes for post-round rewards screens. You'll see them repeatedly, even if the rewards were already received or features unlocked. None of these scenes are skippable or quickly transitioned through. Please note that my negatives are relatively minor gripes, but they are aspects of the game I dislike. Overall, I highly recommend BGG. Not typically my type of genre, but its cute style and intriguing gameplay caught my eye enough that I had to try it. I'm glad I did. -- EDIT (3/20/26): Recent patch has fixed the majority of my gripes. Patch notes mentioned they are actively working to fix point four in my list of negatives. Given the dev's prompt response/fixes and transparency, I'm bumping my review to a 10/10, though I still hope to see the ability to save a run and return later. Wonderful game and dev team. Looking forward to see what's next either from BGG or this studio.
