Cairn is a 2026 simulation adventure video game developed and published by The Game Bakers. In the game, the player assumes control of Aava, a professional mountaineer who seeks to summit the mysterious Mount Kami. While her journey is mostly solitary, she also encounters other climbers and inhabitants on the mountain and uncovers remnants of past expeditions along with a long-lost civilization. As a simulation game, players manually control each of Aava's limbs. The game also features elements commonly found in survival games, with players being tasked with managing Aava's hunger, thirst, and temperature. It also features a weather system and a day-night cycle, all of which affect its difficulty.

Runs well on modern hardware.

I didn’t finish this one. I liked it when I started, but at some point I got stuck, and the game felt too unfriendly for me to keep going, so I decided not to finish it. Still leaving a positive review, because it’s clear the devs are passionate about what they made. Also, I’m a big fan of Furi, so I really hope the studio keeps making cool games.
amazing game, and the fact more climbs are confirmed is reason alone to buy. kami itself is an amazing experience that's challenging, but a full course meal. it leaves you feeling satisfied, but if you're left wanting more, it's soon to come. game is gorgeous, difficult, and engaging.
Possibly the most beautiful video game experience in my life. My GOTY already. World design, characters, story, and message are beautiful and so well done. Climbing mechanic is addictive and so immersive; I've never had a video game literally make me sweat like this. Even the survival / foraging mechanics didn't overstay their welcome and I think really added to the whole experience. Got a solid cry at the end. Just a total 10/10 package, play it.
