Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is a 2013 Western-themed first-person shooter for PlayStation 3, Windows, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Switch. Developed by Techland and originally published by Ubisoft, it was released in May 2013 for PlayStation 3, Windows and Xbox 360. The Switch port was released in December 2019. It is the fourth game in the Call of Juarez series, although narratively, it is unrelated to the three previous titles.

Runs well on modern hardware.

I Call of Juarez: Gunslinger picked it up on a whim and it turned out to be one of the most memorable shooters I've played in years. The unreliable narrator mechanic is genuinely clever; watching the world reshape itself mid-level as Silas Greaves corrects his own story never gets old and gives the game a personality most AAA titles can only dream of. The gunplay is fast, arcadey, and satisfying in a way that kept me chaining kills just to see the score pop-ups keep climbing. My one real gripe is the duel system — it starts as a cool Western novelty but gets repeated way too often and the controls take real getting used to. If you have any love for Westerns or snappy arcade shooters, this is an easy recommendation and an absolute hidden gem.
Well of the most well crafted and intentionally designed first person shooters of the last 15 years. It hits all the Spaghetti western tropes and story beats, has a great arcade like pacing and feels satisfying to complete within just 4-7 hours of gameplay that has easy replayability. This is one of those games I pirated back in highschool and ended up buying twice between console and PC. With that being said I still boot this up every few years, it's that good.
Completed the campaign (On Hard and The West Difficulty), duels, arcade mode, and got all achievements. Time put the review. Positive: - Good Story - Good graphics - Level design is really good! - Amazing music during tense shooting - Game is heavily Optimized, if you have crap PC you can still play this game without any issues and no FPS drops. - Arcade is really fun and challenging! Negative: - Sometimes hit register can F you over, even you hit him. - Sometimes in Duels, enemy can still hit you even you dodge the bullet. Final: Looking for the west shooting games, Call of Juarez Gunslinger and Bound in blood is highly recommended to play! (Buy it for full price or wait for discount! You can get it for 2 or 3 EUR) Score: 9.5/10
