Clea 2 is a jump scare free, skill-based survival horror sequel to the 2019 adventure.

Runs well on modern hardware.
Target Audience: Tension Driven Players Summary: Clea 2 is more of what made Clea 1 such an interesting experience: a game that puts tension at the forefront more then anything else. The focus on sound in order to sneak around enemy monsters still feels unique enough compared to others in the genre, but the layers of detail that it has within is what makes it stick out in the end. Granted, it's much of what made the first game interesting, and when it comes to evolution Clea 2 doesn't exactly do much more to expand the concept. Despite that, the tight loop of enemy paths and sneaking gameplay still works on a fundamental level, and even with having known the mechanics of the first game, I still got surprised and scared in this game as well. With that said, the story feels a little bit piece meal in its implementation, I wanted more from it as the world it creates is interesting and the characters are ones you want to see more of, but it fell a little short in that department. The visuals are nice for a weird match up of anime and paper mario in a sense, and the atmosphere it creates can be cut with a knife. I do wish the game would have played up the possible puzzle elements more this time around, I feel the evolution of the game could have really be taken up a notch by focusing on that. And despite all of my praise for the game, it sorta feels like a Clea 1.5, an alternate route and universe compared to the first game. If you want tension, this game is for you. If you hate tension, avoid it. Gameplay Footage: https://youtu.be/dCmHA7JT4wU Lists: Positives:

Sound Design stills stands out gameplay wise to deliver a tense experience.
Mistakes are 98% your fault, and the game feels fair even when you've died for the 100th time.
Atmosphere created is filled with dread, exactly what you want in a horror based game.
Tight patterns of enemies mean that you can't always easily avoid them.
Game's visual presentation is striking in the right ways, complementing gameplay rather nicely.
Reasonable extra difficulties and arcade mode helps expand replayability.
Negatives:

Wanted more evolution from the first game from gameplay mechanics, especially in the puzzle area.
Very linear, which can be a problem for some.
Those having played the first game may have wanted more connections/progression of lore/story.
Sanity system on th light difficulty could have been more in play, balance there could be adjusted. Pros and cons are down below) If the review will be useful - drop a like so it could be useful to other people as well) Feel free to check out the gameplay here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AeNF6yyYto8 Advantages: 1. The game promised to be tense and it IS tense! I love the mechanics of the game so much! It's pretty simple (at least at the start, I haven't finished the game yet, but I'll update the comment as soon as I will so the review will be accurate)) but very entertaining nonetheless! 2. The game has secondary objectives and mini challenges which is pretty cool. That really makes me wanna replay the levels and try to avoid getting noticed or avoid running. Also, you have to collect additional objects that will (I'm like 99% sure) affect the ending. I really like that as it adds a lot to replayability. 3. There are a bunch of endings which is pretty cool, obviously. 4. I love the style of the game. When I first saw the images on steam, I thought (honestly) "meh" but the more I play the more I like the style. There's something unique and charming about it. Disadvantages: 1. If you haven't played the first game (like me), you'll be SO confused about the story! What the heck is going on? I'm 2 chapters in and I'm getting more and more confused. I keep on going through the levels and intend to finish the game because it's fun but I have no clue of what's happening. I'll update the review if something changes. 2. The levels feel very empty. This game reminded me a lot of Coma and comparing the 2, I have to say that Coma's levels were filled with details. These levels (at least so far, haven't finished the game yet) are pretty bland-looking. I hope later on this will change. Overall: I haven't expected that I'll like the game so much! I'll update review and rate the game as soon as I finish it but at the moment, I strongly recommend playing it. I'm having a blast playing this title even though I don't understand the story at all. I guess, I'll have to look the first part of the game up to make some sense of the story. Thanks for reading till the end) If the review was useful - pls drop a like so it could be useful to other people as well))
