Contraband Police is a video game developed by Crazy Rocks Studios and published by PlayWay, released in March 2023 for Microsoft Windows. Two years prior a demo version, called Contraband Police: Prologue was published. The game was also released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on 7 November 2025.

Runs well on modern hardware.

Literally just Papers Please but in higher resolution. 10/10. Glory to Arstotzka
Amazing in terms of the campaign mods and overall gameplay but it would be better if there was a multiplayer option where there would be 2 or more border patrol officers that works togather, it would also be good if the game developers made a new mod that could be added to the game where you can become a modern Border officer with extra things to do, the game is based on the 90s but some players want that type of realisim into modern style, its just an a review but overall its a thumbs up to give it a shot!
Title: A Unique Simulation with Tedious Mechanics and a Masterful Ending Rating: 7.5/10 The Content: To be honest, Contraband Police is an immersive experience, but it suffers from pacing issues. In the early game, delivering prisoners, confiscated drugs, weapons, and smuggled goods becomes incredibly tedious due to the long driving distances. While the game eventually allows you to process these deliveries remotely, the initial grind feels like a chore. Additionally, the gameplay became repetitive and exhausting when the routine demanded tedious vehicle inspections—such as looking for tiny defects like a cracked mirror, a broken window, or a damaged tire. I highly wished the mechanical loops were smoother and faster to maintain a more fluid game flow. However, what completely made up for this repetitive boredom was the story's climax. The ending was phenomenally executed; the combination of the magnificent ending music and the cinematic slideshow revealing the fates of the characters created an unforgettable, atmospheric payoff. Conclusion: I highly recommend it. It is a completely different kind of experience, and you will definitely enjoy it, my friends! Aiden
