Darkest Dungeon is a roguelike role-playing video game developed and published by Red Hook Studios. The game was first released for Microsoft Windows and OS X in January 2016, which followed a year-long early access development period. Later that year, it was released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Linux, with a port for iOS being released in 2017, and ports for Nintendo Switch and Xbox One being released by 2018.

Runs well on modern hardware.

if you like stardew valley, you need to give darkest dungeon a try. they're basically the same game considering how in both stardew and DD you start the game by receiving a large plot of land as inheritance from your deceased grandfather.
Everyone and their dog has played this, so you most likely have played this to. In the event you haven't, it's great. I played about an hour of it a long time ago and couldn't get past the fact that everyone will most likely die. I know that's part of the game, but I just couldn't warm up to it. I came back to it and now love it. Remember you are leveling up your Hamlet (town) and that's where the persistence factors in. Remember, even if your best character died, you still have the Hamlet which is advancing.
I hate this game with a passion, it will ruin your day, you will lose your jester due to 3 crits in a row and have the whole squad go insane. 10/10
