I jumped into Deep Rock Galactic thinking “yeah this looks alright,” and came out shouting ROCK AND STONE like it’s a legally binding greeting. This game is chaos in the best possible way. You and your friends drop into a cave, immediately get lost, accidentally split up, panic when bugs start pouring out of the walls, and somehow still make it out alive while laughing the whole time. It’s less “tactical mission” and more “dwarven survival comedy.” The co-op is where it really shines. Every class actually feels useful, so instead of fighting over who gets to be the main character, you’re all just equally responsible for the inevitable disaster. And when things go wrong, they go spectacularly wrong. And then there’s the bar. Honestly, half my playtime feels like it’s just spent in the Space Rig at the bar, ordering drinks, dancing like absolute idiots, and raising a beer for Karl like true dwarves. ROCK AND STONE isn’t just a voice line at this point, it’s a lifestyle choice. Verdict: 🍺 10/10 would mine again 🍺 10/10 would get lost again 🍺 FOR KARL If you’ve got friends and a sense of humour, Deep Rock Galactic is an easy recommendation. If you don’t have friends… the game might help with that too. ROCK AND STONE ⛏️
it is overwhelmingly positive for a reason. This game is so fricking sick, a ton of content, amazing community and most importantly.... DLCs are cosmetics only. I really love how this game offers everything in the base game and treating DLCs as a way for players to support them if they want to, without hiding any content behind them. DRG also utilizes a themed Season system, where each season introduces new content such as primary weapons, enemies, mission types, and cosmetics via a free Battle pass-like system. it is mainly a co-op game but it provides an amazing solo experience too! so even if you don't have people to play with you can still play alone, and let's not forget how cool the community is, i doubt you’ll have trouble finding amazing teammates in discord or public lobbies. 10/10 I highly highly recommend i forgot to mention how well optimized this game is, i'm playing on a very old machine and the performance is so godd4mn good, stuff of legend.
Only 2.8hrs into the game but I can tell, with your friends in Koop, it has a very deep and rich atmosphere. It's claustrophobic, yet beautiful and colorful. The Monsters are challenging, yet not overpowered. It's intense yet hilarious. You dig, revive and navigate your buddies around, yell and laugh. Love it xD
