Destiny 2 is a free-to-play online first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie. It was originally released as a pay-to-play game in 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows. It became free-to-play, utilizing the games as a service model, under the New Light title on October 1, 2019, followed by the game's release on Stadia the following month, and then PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms in December 2020. The game was published by Activision until December 31, 2018, when Bungie acquired the publishing rights to the franchise. It is the sequel to 2014's Destiny and its subsequent expansions.

Runs well on modern hardware.

"Thanks - you know - for being my Guardian." And thanks, for being the best game I've ever played. The countless memories and heartfelt moments I've experienced through this game will forever be with me, all the friends I've made and still play with today, all the raids and dungeons, that feeling of getting an exotic first clear, of finally getting that roll on a weapon I was chasing with them, the music and atmosphere, the characters, everything about this game. I think I'll still play you sometimes, I'll definitely think of you, when I look up at the stars. See you starside, Destiny, thanks for it all.
My dearest message to Destiny 2. You gave me lots of great memories and moments with friends and randoms, such beautiful atmospheres, dynamic music, amazing gunplay, deep lore, and worldbuilding. The music and atmosphere are definitely still at the top of my list to this day. The grind was too much, but you decided how to play the game and experimented with many build combos, and each build felt special as long as it worked out for you. My best and favorite time during D2 was the 30th Anniversary through post-Witch Queen and Into the Light. The game's direction started going downhill after the introduction of Destiny Content Vault. Newer players wouldn't even know what is happening in the story because of this and would have to rely on YouTube or someone they know who played this game since its release. The New Light campaign is a HORRIBLE experience; seeing my friends who joined Destiny after the DCV was so confusing for them to understand the story. The Final Shape should have been the final conclusion to this game or continue the next chapter in D3. Now we ended off on a Star Wars expansion... which honestly wasn't TOO bad, I suppose, compared to Edge of Fate, but it felt like a mindless storyline going nowhere. There are still many things left to do lore-wise from past seasons/content, the main reason I still held on to this game after TFS. Destiny as an entire franchise is a solid 9/10. Well this is it. I have many great memories for the game and this is my final goodbye. And remember our Guardian forever live in our heart even the journey has ended
