“The year is 2052 and the world is a dangerous and chaotic place. Terrorists operate openly - killing thousands; drugs, disease and pollution kill even more. The world's economies are close to collapse and the gap between the insanely wealthy and the desperately poor grows ever wider. Worst of all, an ages old conspiracy bent on world domination has decided that the time is right to emerge from the shadows and take control.” The most unrealistic part about this game is the fact that this all happened in 2052 instead of 2026.
This game is PEAK. Great gameplay, great soundtrack and great story. It is a bit long to complete, but everything is engaging enough that you don't mind. As for getting it to work on modern systems, I just used Kentie's launcher with Fullscreen selected instead of Borderless Fullscreen so the inventory works correctly, and it runs with no problems.
Played back in the days the mac version and now replayed the steam version. Just mind blowing, how many game features this game had, for a 2000 released game. Everything works, only the manual save don't work. So you need to use quick save. Depend on your preference, you can change your game resolution in the deus ex.ini and your FOV in the user.ini.
