Doom is a 2016 first-person shooter game developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game is the first major installment in the Doom series since 2004's Doom 3 and is a reboot of the franchise. It was released for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One in May 2016. A port for Nintendo Switch was co-developed with Panic Button and released in November 2017, and a version for Stadia was released in August 2020. Players take the role of a space marine, known colloquially as the Doom Slayer, as he battles demonic forces within an energy-mining facility on Mars and in Hell.

Runs well on modern hardware.

A fantastic reboot of a classic fps that is one of the best fps games I ever played. No reloading, not much storytelling, secrets, a lot of upgrades, fast-paced gameplay and carrying all weapons at once. This game is very much old-school and out of all the new Doom games it's the one closest to 90s shooters which is why I like it a lot. It also comes with an addictive arcade mode, snapmap and good old deathmatch which gives it even more replayability on top of the already great singleplayer mode
**Happy Birthday To The Masterpiece of the Manliest Peak Power Fantasy Action Game that revived my childhood from 33 years of gaming.....DOOM 2016** 10 years later and DOOM 2016 still feels like getting powerbombed through the floor of a burning steel cage by pure adrenaline. This game did not walk so modern shooters could run. This game kicked the front door off its hinges, chugged six gallons of gasoline, punched a demon in the mouth, and reminded the entire FPS genre what “FUN” actually means. NO RELOAD SIMULATOR. NO 45 MINUTE CUTSCENES ABOUT SAD DADS. NO HIDING BEHIND CHEST-HIGH WALLS. You wake up. A guy starts monologuing. You literally smash the monitor because you have DEMONS TO EVAPORATE. Mick Gordon’s soundtrack sounds like a forklift doing cocaine in a volcano. The Super Shotgun should be classified as a human rights violation. Every glory kill feels like you’re starring in the greatest heavy metal album cover ever painted. And the movement? SWEET MERCIFUL CHAINSAW WITH BFG JUICE, the movement. You don’t play DOOM. YOU. ARE. DOOM. You enter a violent spiritual awakening where standing still is illegal and aggression heals your body like some ancient warrior prophecy. Ten years later this game still runs smoother than butter on a NASCAR engine. Still looks incredible. Still plays better than 95% of shooters released since. DOOM Slayer (you the player) isn’t a protagonist. He’s a natural disaster with abs. On this 10th anniversary, I just want to thank id Software for reminding the world that video games are allowed to be LOUD, FAST, STUPID, and ABSOLUTELY GLORIOUS. RIP AND TEAR. UNTIL IT IS DONE!!!!
Still has amazing graphics and gameplay for being a 10 year old game. The Soundtrack has my ears begging for more music. Doom 2016 is an instant hood classic for pc gaming and u dont need no fancy hardware like me to enjoy the game 10/10 idk who asked for gaytracing in the newer titles and needing a nvme ssd and gpu with gaytracing hardware to even play dark ages.
