Door Kickers 2: Task Force North is a real-time tactics video game developed and published by KillHouse Games for Microsoft Windows and macOS. It is the sequel to the 2014 video game Door Kickers, featuring similar overall gameplay with various fundamental improvements. Set in the fictional Middle Eastern country of Nowheraki, Door Kickers 2 has the player command special forces and paramiltary units in counterinsurgency operations against terrorist groups threatening the region's stability.

Runs well on modern hardware.

Picked this up on a whim and now I'm obsessed. The controls are pretty simple and easy to learn, but the game itself can feel challenging at times. Once you get the hang of it though, clearing a difficult map feels incredibly satisfying. Every failure feels like a lesson rather than something unfair. The replay value is amazing. There are countless ways to approach each mission and the modding community is super active, so you never really run out of content. Highly recommend ♡
I like the game. It's very good at what it does. However, someone has to give it a negative review for the outrageous missing QoL features. Why can't I save different loadouts? E.g., one for stealth, one for breach, etc.? It does not even save prior gun customizations. Same for the planning. Why can't I save different plans and to tinker with them? No, if I want to try a different approach, every time I have to start from zero and can't come back to the old one. Also, while I can forgive that there is no rewind of time, some checkpoint approach (e.g., jump back to last pause) would also have gone a long way. Also, a lot of stuff really goes unexplained. Luckily, there are many user written guides, but game devs should not depend on those. I will continue to play, it's a really good game at the main core, but above listed missing QoL make it tedious to start each mission and does not really encourage tinkering and quick switching between tactics.
This is legitimately now one of my favorite games of all time, super addicting gameplay that makes you replay missions over and over to see if you can do it better or differently. Also a crapload of custom maps from workshop too. I also love how the characters look and even more with mods. you're gonna get your money's worth for sure with this game.
