The gameplay's fun, Fidget is adorable, and her dynamic with Dust makes sure there's never a dull moment. The art is good too and so are the sound effects. The only downside is that I can't play much of the game due to the almost continuous flashing white light, especially during the thunderstorms. It'd be great if the camera shaking can be turned off too. I suffer from chronic migraines, so my eyes are a bit more sensitive to flashes of light and movement like the camera shaking. It'd be great if there's an option in the settings where you can turn those off.
I love this! Holds up very well with some great art, environment design and voice acting.
Dust is an interesting game, story and art style wise. Everything is hand drawn and the setting and plotline are a little odd, bit goofy at times, but it is fun to play. The gameplay is a mix of basic hack and slash with platforming. It's not too hard unless you play on Tough or Hardcore. Both of those will still start out easy, but there are a few special enemy types that can one-shot you. However, once you hit certain zones like the graveyard everything in the game from that point on will one-shot you. Unless you want to grind out levels. I just powered through finishing the game around the low 30s. But it can be a bit draining/frustrating to do it that way. It's not a long game but fun enough to hold your attention. If you like 4th wall breaking or meta humor you'll enjoy a lot of the dialogue. If it looks interesting then get it on sale at least.
