Enter the Gungeon is a 2016 bullet hell roguelike video game developed by American studio Dodge Roll and published by Devolver Digital. Set in the firearms-themed Gungeon, gameplay follows several player characters called Gungeoneers as they traverse procedurally generated rooms to find a gun that can "kill the past". The Gungeoneers fight against bullet-shaped enemies, which are fought using both conventional and exotic weapons. Enter the Gungeon features a permadeath system, causing the Gungeoneers to lose all obtained items and start again from the first level upon death. Between playthroughs, players can travel to an area called the Breach, where they can converse with non-player characters and unlock new items randomly encountered while playing.

Runs well on modern hardware.

i like this game but i do NOT like it enough to have 3000 hours. i LOVE this game though especially because my computer will blue screen if this game is not running i am not joking so thank you enter the gungeon. it's a pretty good game too though. i haven't actually played 3000 hours of this.
Yes. Buy this. Enter the Gungeon is among the best roguelites I've ever seen, and it's what first introduced me to both roguelites and bullet hells. It is a game that I keep coming back to even after seeing it all. It's got tons of potential items and guns to unlock, many of them whimsical or a reference that you will be giddy about when you get it. This is one of those games that you can feel the love, not just for the game, but for all of nerd and gaming culture. You will not regret picking this up, although you should know it is incredibly difficult. That's what happens when you get a good roguelite/bullet hell. But it is worth every death just to experience this gem a little more. Also, while my hours show 156 as of review, bear in mind I have completed this game on both Xbox and Switch before getting it on Steam. That's how good this game is. P.S. When you do feel like you've seen it all, check out the Thunderstore mod manager. You can mod the game from there to have so much more content.
to me this game was everything i liked about binding of isaac with everything i hated about it taken from it, no unfair deaths, no beating the game hitless 50 times for unlocks, still carrying fiery challenges and still being extremly punishing the polish on this game is top notch probably devolvers best game
