F1 2012 is a video game developed by Codemasters based on the 2012 Formula One season. The game was released in September. It uses the EGO Engine. This was also the first game by Codemasters released under their "Codemasters Racing" label, which was used until 2016.

Runs well on modern hardware.

I'm not much of a reviewer guy, but after watching Jimmy Broadbent play the carrer mode of F1 2012, I've installed this game that I had when I bought a F1 bundle, but never played this specific one. Thank you Jimmy, this game is absolutly incredible compared to modern F1 games. The AI is actually realistic providing amazing battles, mistakes such as spins, cars braking down, locking up. It is so impressive that when you are side by side they will sometimes go off track to avoid colision instead of being a brick wall and destroying your race like modern f1 games. If you want an experience, race around monaco with an cockpit camera. It is really hard at first, but when it clicks you are literally experience an Ayrton Senna onboard video around monaco. You really feel the car, and you really feel like you are in control of the car, and being so close to the wall having to really manage your driving is an amazing feeling. Something that modern f1 games will never be able to replicate.
This is peak codies. Please play this instead of the F1 25 slopaccino. The driving model is more beliveable in this.
Probably the best F1 2012 game, ever made.
