Fable is an action role-playing video game, the first in the Fable series. It was developed for the Xbox, Windows, and macOS platforms by Big Blue Box Studios, a satellite developer of Lionhead Studios, and was published by Microsoft Studios. The game shipped for the Xbox in September 2004. An extended version of the game, Fable: The Lost Chapters, was released for the Xbox and Windows in September 2005. A port of the game for macOS, created by Robosoft Technologies and published by Feral Interactive, was released in March 2008 after a delay of more than two years due to licensing issues.

Runs well on modern hardware.

Check out the "Aeon Edition" mod on Nexus and you'll be in for a treat. It's worth the small hassle to get it set up and pushes OG Fable to its full potential (expanded maps, difficulty, cut content, and more). Fun stuff!
Fable is, without a doubt, my go-to adventure game. What makes its story so fascinating is not just its great villain, but how the fate of Albion is shaped by your actions. The game gives you absolute control over your morality: from becoming a legendary hero to transforming into the most feared being, even reflecting on your character's physical appearance. You decide whether to give in to revenge or embrace forgiveness; here, every choice has consequences.
Was looking forward to playing this, but the camera and mouse pointer has this consistent jittery/stuttering movement that makes it really unpleasant to play. It seems to be a common issue with no solution, unfortunately.
