Far Cry 3 is a 2012 first-person shooter game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It is the third main installment in the Far Cry series after Far Cry 2. The game takes place on the fictional Rook Islands, a tropical archipelago which can be freely explored by players. Gameplay focuses on combat and exploration. Players can use a variety of weapons to defeat human enemies and hostile wildlife, and the game features elements found in role-playing games such as skill trees and experience. After a vacation goes awry, protagonist Jason Brody must save his friends, who have been kidnapped by pirates, and escape from the island and its unhinged inhabitants.

Runs well on modern hardware.

Would love to play this game, as I love the Far Cry franchise - but Ubisoft can't be bothered to make their old games playable on modern hardware.
saw it was on sale one day, bought it, killed a bunch of people on an island, got home played the game 10/10 would recommend
This is a great game that is left unsupported by Ubisoft and now wont run for more than 10 minutes. there might be solutions if you download other software or start digging into game files but none have worked for me and shouldn't be crucial to getting a game working anyway. especially when they're still selling it and bundling it with newer games. its a shame because otherwise its a great game, but f*ck this. they wont fix it. they'll try and sell you a remaster in a few more years.
