Five Nights at Freddy's: Into the Pit is a 2024 2D adventure game developed and published by Mega Cat Studios. Part of the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise created by Scott Cawthon, it was released for Windows on August 8, 2024, and later for PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. The game departs from the mainline series’ first-person perspective, featuring retro-inspired 16-bit pixel art, hand-drawn 2D animation. The title is based on the Fazbear Frights book series, expanding the narrative universe of the franchise.

Runs well on modern hardware.

This game really doesn't get enough credit. I love the art style, the sound design, and the gameplay. The storyline wasn't the best but it works.
One of the best games in the entire FNAF franchise for a long time. Into the Pit has actually brought my faith back into the franchise after the hit or misses we've been having. Despite how small the map actually is, It's not an issue with the gameplay aspect, and I think it's perfect the way it is. Story is nice, and really got me looking into the books, and even makes me hope they make more adaptations of them, its a different style of gameplay from the original fnaf games, but this style of gameplay and art direction is better IMO.
This game's atmosphere is really chilling. For a pixel game I was expecting something a lot more silly and rpg-like. The surprise jumpscares were well timed and got me most of the time. I love the OST and sound effects of the laughing children and screaming. It set a really terrifying tone for the whole game and makes you feel as if you are never truly safe. The story followed the book almost identically except, for a couple of things. As someone who is a big fan of the series this is a must-play for the fans.
