Runs well on modern hardware.

what I like about this game is because of the animation, graphics, and music. I also like that you get these attacks that look awesome when you shred since it has like this little animation.I personally like the frogs croaking and when you walk through the little yellow flowers. This is my opinion about the game and recommendation.
Fun and great atmosphere. Every part of the environment being a musical instrument was a really nice touch. However, it's way too easy. I think I screwed up ~70% of the QTEs and I still only died like twice. Also the game softlocked me like 4 times, which was quite frustrating.
There are so many cool gameplay ideas here and they are executed extremely well. The buff/debuff system being an FX chain and different enemies having different number of slots really added so much depth. The customizability of each instrument is also so good and with very limited musical knowledge the idea of modding your instrument and having it effect gameplay makes so much intuitive sense with the theming of each instrument and what the mods are. The gameplay has so much potential that I kinda hope for another game with just more instruments, riffs, pedals, mods and cool music. Doesn't even need to be an rpg or have story. Maybe a multiplayer mode or some sort of roguelike system or something along those lines with more reason to explore the "deckbuilding" in this game would be really cool. A new game plus for this game or a way to replay bosses with gear you get later would also be nice. I got all achievements in 7 and a half hours. Didn't go for all mods because they were mostly just farm, get money, buy. There are some issues though. Before I get to the nitpicks below my biggest issue is that running should have been Rob's default speed or there should have been an option to just perma run. Because you are just holding B all the time to run, when you enter a cutscene, sometimes you are already holding B which makes you skip that cutscene. This and the weird collision of some walls are my biggest complaints. I got stuck in a cutscene once because the wolf cutscene triggered at the wrong time or something. In some areas it is not clear that edge of the screen leads into a different area. A lot of the pixel art is beautiful but unfortunately not all of it is the same quality. Many sprites have jagged edges, some areas make me think "I wasn't supposed to see this". Sometimes some sprites will render incorrectly, get stuck in an animation after they should be removed from the screen. I really enjoyed my time, though I wish the game could have had more polish on certain parts.
