God of War (2018)

An awesome adventure from start to finish and super sweet action game. God of War should have been on PC from the start! I love the character development, particularly how Kratos goes from hating side content to starting to have fun with it and it's neat seeing his son's growth as he learns more about the situation. Lots of cool ways to upgrade Kratos and Boy ... errr Atreus. Had a good bit of fun running around collecting armor and skill upgrades. It tickles my pickle to see more Playstation games coming to PC!

I really enjoyed this game from beginning to end. I'm not usually super fond of side quests or anything related to looting, but with this game, I personally found them rewarding to do. In general, if a game can make a guy like me, who isn't the most fond of side quests or looting, actually want to do them, I think that alone is a big point in its favor. [h3]Side Quests & Exploration[/h3] At first, the number of side quest/side content may seem like a lot, but honestly, it never felt overwhelmingly large to me. One of the best parts is that you can continue to do them even after finishing the main story. There's also a good amount of puzzle-solving and exploration throughout the game, which I enjoyed and found to be not that difficult. Getting the Platinum/all the trophies isn't too difficult either, which is another nice bonus. [h3]Combat[/h3] The combat mechanics may feel a little slow at first, especially with the Leviathan Axe. However, once you get familiar with the rest of the mechanics and the different combos you can unlock through the skill tree, the combat starts to flow much better. Especially with the addition of the [spoiler]2nd weapon which I won't name just in case [strike]lol[/strike] that you do get later in the story[/spoiler]. I also do need to mention the parrying in this game is very satisfying. There are also a variety of really cool and satisfying Runic Attacks that add even more to the combat and are also great way to deal damage/stun against enemies [b]which are honestly a necessity to use either way[/b]. [h3]Post-Game Content[/h3] In terms of post-main story content, I think it's pretty decent. I especially enjoyed all of the [spoiler]Valkyrie[/spoiler] boss fights, as well as the two other optional realms/locations. You can actually access those during the main story as well, so you don't necessarily have to wait until the end to do them. The game also has New Game Plus, along with four different difficulty options (regardless fresh NG or NG+) to choose from, which is always great to have. [h3]Story & Characters[/h3] Now, onto the story. I think it's a beautiful story about a father and son dealing with their lack of a bond and connection as they go on a journey together. It's an emotional and heartfelt story. The acting was amazing across the entire game. The supporting characters you meet along the way are also a great and entertaining addition to the story. The score and music are absolutely amazing as well. They always hit hard during the more emotional moments throughout the game and really add to the experience. In general, the story, the fight scenes, the music and the cinematics- It is quite literally [b]"Absolute Cinema"[/b]. [h3]Overall[/h3] Overall, I highly recommend this game. It's very fun and can definitely be addictive at times. It has a good mix of combat, exploration, a bit of puzzle-solving, side content, and a great and amazing story. It's especially worth picking up if you can catch it on sale.

10/10 take your time. Listen to the stories. Do some side quests. One of the best games I have ever played in regards to a story line.
