God of War is a 2018 action-adventure game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game was released worldwide for the PlayStation 4 in April 2018, with a Windows port released in January 2022. It is the eighth installment in the God of War series, the ninth chronologically, and the sequel to 2010's God of War III.

Runs well on modern hardware.

I don't think you'll find a more perfectly paced and cinematic game. It's a single shot from the MAIN MENU and you'll never see a loading screen unless you die and need to restart an encounter - Insane soundtrack as well.
a wonderful story written by santa monica that writes in kratos and his son atreus into the Norse Mythos~ the story is the most captivating part of this game for me, with a rich deep lore in every corner u explore, and very likeable characters and also very satisfying character development! the gameplay is great, i played on Give me God of War for my 1st and only playthrough and 100%ed it just today. there are some terrible terribly balanced fights at times and it can get very very frustrating as a lot of things end up looping back to "do i have the level for this" so u may have to come back later. but there are also some amazing fights scattered around, just my reccomendation for anyone playing this or who will play this. do. the. side. quests. trust me~ great lore and also you need the levels... Overall 10/10 Story 7/10 Combat 3/10 Difficulty Scaling (some enemies really do just be sponges) and a fun time overall :3 cant wait to play Ragnarok!
"God of War | 2018 | PC | Played for: 55h I was not invested in the series (1st entry for me), nor the slasher type game and neither in the Norse mythology. By the end of the game I set my eyes on the sequel Ragnarok, and was compelled to 100% the game. Graphics are stunning and very well optimised, artwork and sound-work are superb. Gameplay at beginning seems dull, by the end is ok. Except Valkyries bosses, on normal difficulty nothing seems to challenge, while on hard enemies are damage sponges. Petty that the light and heavy runic attacks can not be set to "random". Overall it is a well regarded and recommended game by most for a reason, I went sceptical into it and was hooked until the end. Story: 8,5/10 Gameplay: 7,5/10 Graphics/Physics: 9/10 Music/Sound: 9/10 Final Score: 8,33/10
