Sweet little Puzzle Golf Game. Easy recommend. The pacing in difficulty feels good each world. Every now and then you get a new mechanic. No extra explanation needed for those because of the good pacing of the worlds. Cheevo Hunter Note: Its not too hard and if you struggle with some levels there are solutions in the guide section.
6/10 - make the cards a different color, they all look the exact same!!!! they have the technology - cant rearrange card placement when planning out solves - needs a hint mode. tell you the order of the cards after X amount of time tells you the next 1st card + perfect loop of adds new rules and defaults to easy, gets harder with each level. + undo forever + 5$
Golf Peaks is a short and clever puzzle game with a strong card-based movement system. Instead of directly controlling the ball, you use cards to decide how it moves. I liked this mechanic a lot, and it reminded me a little of Please, Fix the Road, except here you can choose the cards in any order. That gives the puzzles a nice sense of flexibility. The game does a good job of avoiding repetition. Each world is fairly short, and new mechanics are introduced regularly. The difficulty curve also feels fair, as each new world gives you time to learn its mechanic before the puzzles become harder. Some puzzles toward the end of certain worlds can be quite challenging, and I think a hint button would have been a nice addition. I also would have liked the option to rearrange cards in my hand, and some cards could have been more visually distinct since they can look quite similar. The clean minimalist isometric art style fits the game very well, and the mechanics are nicely designed around the themes of each world. The soundtrack is relaxing and works for the atmosphere, although it is not especially memorable. The game is short and sweet, which suited it well. It does not overstay its welcome, and I had no technical issues during my playthrough. Overall, Golf Peaks is an enjoyable and well-designed puzzle game. I would recommend it, especially if you like smaller relaxing puzzle games. Pick it up on sale if you can, but the full price still feels fair.
