This game has everything and is a hidden gem to all that come across it. The visuals are beautiful, the gameplay is smooth, the writing is really good, and the challenge and replayability is there. You are never grinding for anything and if you do have to go back to get something (like a collectable if you are trying to 100% the game) is very easy and not a chore at all. The story and characters keep you engaged throughout and the combat, from both the level design and structure to the bosses, are varied and prevent the game from ever getting dull. I was able to beat the game in a little under 10 hours and will surely spend another 5 to 10 getting the rest of the achievements and really just enjoying this game. Great value and a great game overall. Would recommend to anyone and cannot wait for the sequel!
This is the kinda game you used to play on your PS3 when you were in elementary school and when somebody mentions it when you're pushing 30 it activates like a sleeper agent. Gameplay is fun and not very difficult and the story starts off strong and promising but it ends up being mid and disappointing unfortunately. Also the Hazbin Hotel humor and swearing is gonna make me cause a genocide, this game would've been so good without it but for the price it's still worth it
Was pleasantly surprised with this as a indie title, while it doesn't do anything unique with its gameplay, its a fun action platformer and hack and slash. It starts really slow restrictive and boring, but once you leave the first level that's when it really hits its stride. While it doesn't have a lot of attacks its flashiness of makes up for it, especially when there are enemies everywhere and you are riding on walls, rails and fighting 40 to 1. its level design was also really cool and satisfying hoverboarding so fast on these cool looking levels. Bosses are surprisingly fun as it challenges you to in both combat and platforming and nothing felt like a copy paste. the underwater aspect was a real standout as it made you think think quicker on your feet. As much as i did enjoy it makes me wanting a bigger budget as this is very linear in its design as there could be so much more to this idea. Only real negative i have is its story, its not very interesting. I understand this is a silly concept from the start, but it felt like there weren't sure if they wanted this to be silly, serious sci-fi, or cringe 90s "radical" skateboarder talk with profanity every minute or something emotional so they decided to all 5 at the same time. but skipping the cutscenes and just kicking back on a controller was a fun time as a one and done game
