Gorogoa is basically a piece of interactive art. The puzzles are super clever and rely on perspective in ways I haven’t seen before. It’s short, but every moment feels thoughtfully crafted. Definitely worth playing if you want something unique and a bit mind-bending.
A very good puzzle game that offers a truly original approach to puzzles, unlike anything I’ve seen elsewhere. The game is built around a series of hand-drawn illustrations with subtle animations. The overall presentation has an incredible charm, and the artwork is often beautiful. It greatly enhances the experience and makes the whole journey feel almost magical. The story, full of poetry, is told entirely without dialogue. Everything is conveyed through the visuals and the transitions between scenes. The soundtrack remains quite subtle but fits the experience perfectly. In the end, it’s a small gem ! Very short, but incredibly original and enjoyable to experience.
I think gorogoa was the first puzzle game that I played. Around 2015 I saw a youtube video about this game and played a pirated version and really enjoyed, it also was probbably my first ever interaction with "reality bending" game too, the concept of the puzzles being around changing the space stuck with me, I am really into this type of stuff and this game was my first experience with this niche game genre. The art of this game is phenomenal and now that I am older, the symbolism present in each corner of this game is breath taking. Good game and strongly recommend it.
