Grand Theft Auto III is a 2001 action-adventure game developed by DMA Design and published by Rockstar Games. It was the first 3D game in the Grand Theft Auto series. Set in Liberty City, loosely based on New York City, the story follows Claude, a silent protagonist who becomes entangled in a world of crime, drugs, gang warfare and corruption. The game is played from a third-person perspective and its world is navigated on foot or by vehicle. Its open world design lets players freely roam Liberty City.

Runs well on modern hardware.

It's way too jank for me to recommend, it requires SO many mods and setup just to get it to work like a normal ass game, but even then you are still tied to 30fps. Besides the jank the missions are boring, the story isn't good, and shooting feels like crap. However it is still fun driving around, the music is really good of course, it's decently fun. 5/10
I grew up with this game, A lot of people would tell u not to play it on new hardware because it's way too glitchy, But I personally think it's more fun that way
The game that became the basis for every GTA game since, However... it has not aged well and its predescessors are superior in terms of gameplay. Stiil enjoyable if somewhat flawed. At the end of day I'd still rather play VC or SA, but this game has its merits.
