Gravity Circuit is a flashy action packed 2D platformer in the spirit of console classics. Follow Kai, a lone operative war hero who harnesses the mysterious powers of the Gravity Circuit, on an adventure in a futuristic world inhabited by sentient robots.

Runs well on modern hardware.

A melee oriented tribute to Mega Man with fantastic boss design and gameplay. Play as Kai, a robot who has inherited the power of the Gravity Circuit, bestowing upon him the power to become a hero in a world of automatons. Fight eight robot bosses, rescuing helpless robot citizens along the way as you navigate through levels, blasting hostile bots in the Virus Army. Gameplay is a smooth combination of combat and platforming, working your way through themed levels ending in a boss fight with their own specialized attacks. Combat is melee oriented, punching robots apart with your fists to collect energy for special attacks and bits that act as currency for upgrades and health restoration. Levels contain roughly eight robot citizens to rescue, each one netting you a rescue coin to put towards upgrades, like double jumping and invulnerability on slide, back at base; you can only equip three at a time, so a lot of upgrades will just end up going permanently unused. Defeating a robot master will unlock more energy-based skills for you to purchase and equip to the four main directions of the D-Pad; healing, energy shields, offensive attacks, and more. Paint jobs can also be unlocked and purchased, changing your colour scheme and how Kai's default abilities and attacks function, adding another layer to game play. The pixel art is pretty bang on, suiting the game, style, and homage to the material Gravity Circuit is inspired from. I really enjoy the character, boss, and enemy designs the whole way through; level designs being on point too for the themes of the bosses. Gravity Circuit's world is put together quite well, the concept leaving things open for multiple Gravity Circuit sequels to continue the Mega Man format. I got this one for free when it was given away on Steam, but it easily would have been worth paying for. An easy recommendation to Mega Man fans. Modern Megaman, fast paced, good enemy variety, great bosses, amazing music, polished. Just play it if you're a megaman fan. Or if you're a fan of sidescrollers in general, this game is amazing!
I really enjoyed this game. the story the music the visuals. it feels like a game that would have rivaled those legendary sidescrollers in their prime. The controls are snappy and the game flows well. even the hardest spots can be done if you slow down and think. the right Armour paint and the booster chips are the key to an easier play through those tricker spots. the health upgrades mean you might have replay a stage but are totally worth it. Took me around 12 hours to beat this game. I am not very good. but it can be done.
