Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign- is the sixth main installment, and overall twenty-second entry, of the Guilty Gear series. Taking place about two years after Guilty Gear 2 -Overture-, this title and its follow-up continuation, Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator-, are the third chapter in the main storyline.

Runs well on modern hardware.

this game has a little pirate girl who uses an anchor for a weapon who summons dolphins... 10/10
My favorite overall in the Guilty Gear franchise but honestly I can't say that because I haven't tried out anything after SIGN. But still the most visually appealing to me and the most fun. I love Elphelt Valentine's design and her Points stuff on this, especially her gameplay and quotes. Not much to say about playing this on a controller, it's not comfortable to me honestly and I'd rather have this as the only fighting game I play on mouse and keyboard now. But that could be just me because my controller doesn't input too fast. Or whatever you call it. Very good game ^-^
I play this game on Steam Deck. It runs well at 60 FPS—flawless. Nothing to complain about; it’s a great experience. However, there are several things you should be aware of before buying this game. Difference from Rev 2 : It’s nearly the same. The main gameplay difference is balance, and there are more characters (17 vs. 25). The other difference is in the story (covers the first half of the overall story)—it’s mostly cutscenes with no gameplay mixed in. It feels like playing a visual novel. Online mode : Dead. If you decide to buy this, make sure you have friends or a community to play with. This game doesn't have Rollback
So I recommend buying GUILTY GEAR Xrd REV 2 for a more complete experience.
About unlocking characters : It’s no coincidence that the publisher sells DLC to unlock them. Farming currency in this game is a real pain. Unlocking three characters costs about 600k, while a hard arcade run gives around 8k per match. If you only play casually for a few matches per day, progress is very slow. I recommend following a guide to farm more efficiently (M.O.M mode, challenges, and finishing the story can give you around 100k)
