Half-Life 2: Episode Two is a 2007 first-person shooter game developed and published by Valve. Following Episode One (2006), it is the second of two shorter episodic games that continue the story of Half-Life 2 (2004). The player controls Gordon Freeman, who travels through the mountains surrounding City 17 to a resistance base with his ally Alyx Vance. Like previous Half-Life games, Episode Two combines shooting, puzzle-solving and narrative elements, and adds expansive environments and less linear sequences.

Runs well on modern hardware.

I didn't start playing this game until 19 years after it was released. Even though I bought it a few years ago, for some unknown reason it no longer appears in my game library. The only reason I was able to play it is because Steam downloaded an update for it so I could get to the main game page by clicking the link from the download stats page. By modern standards of course the graphics look a bit flat and low-poly, but this is not a big deal. The game is still engrossing and enjoyable to play. Physical puzzles to solve and monsters to shoot. Was good to revisit the world of Gordon Freeman. Getting to the final mission only took about 18 hours of gameplay and I actually haven't finished it yet but can recommend it anyway.
One of the best classical first-person shooter ever. Everyone knows Counter Strike and they love it so, this pearl has the same system and technology with all the benefits of the single player. In addition, the story is really elaborated, challenging and intriguing. To summarize what are you going to find up: you will play as a Gordon Freeman, trying to fix the mess that he created with other scientists, opening a portal a few years ago, filling Black Mesa with hostile aliens. Should be a must have game in all gamer's libraries. Black Mesa awaits you.
If you’re aiming for 100% achievements in this game, make sure to play the separate versions (found under “Tools”). If you don’t, any achievements earned in the merged version will not carry over to the separate ones but the achivements from the seperate version will transfer to the anniversary release
