Slay hordes of terrifying monsters in this casual roguelite action rpg. Descend into the Halls of Torment where the lords of the underworld await you. Treasures, magic trinkets, and a growing cast of heroes will grant you the power to vanquish the horrors from beyond. How long can you survive?

Runs well on modern hardware.

I must change my previously-positive review to negative due to the fact that the game just crashed 3 times in a row. No other game or application in my system does this. I had big stability issues since first playing the game but I powered through it for the first 20 hours. Having 3 crashes in a row when runs are pretty long at over half an hour is unacceptable. Glacial progression at literally a .002 bonus per victorious run after 30 minutes makes it worse. That's over 2 hours for a 1% bonus or more likely over 3 since you will probably die once! Will gladly change my review back to positive if crashes stop happening each 10 or 20 minutes! *** A good game with excellent play but lacking in depth and longevity. It is worth buying at 20% off or full price. HOT has some 20 hours of content; half that if you hate repeating content; and more if you do not mind crazy grinding. It lacks the infinite potential of better games due to a minimal set of static gear; only 5 maps and barely any build variety other than the different base classes. Progression slows down to an absolute slog when reaching end-game. I would kill for a game like or modification for Diablo 2 that plays similarly to merge the best of both worlds! If you want a similar title with better pacing and more content try Crimson Land as its modes offer far more replay-value. You can create an auto attack script with Auto Hot Key or such. If you are looking for near-infinite depth and do not mind more active play try Grim Dawn or Path Of Exile 2.
It would be a fun game, but it crashes way too often. 25 minute into a 30 minute run and suddenly the progress is just gone. Such a waste of time.
I find playing these kind of games in bed and on a Steam Deck is a great way to unwind and fall asleep. You have 30 minutes to clear a stage, you don't need to use a lot of brain power, and before you know it, you are struggling to keep your eyes open for just 5 more minutes to clear the round. An interesting side effect is that the game becomes much harder as you try to stay awake. Anyway, this game is pretty great. I like the upgrade system for in-game attacks and abilities, and the meta upgrades in the hub world in between rounds. I think it is one of the better Survivor likes, and I really apricate the old-school Diablo 2 style look they went for. This is the one I tend to play most when I am in the mood for a survivor like.
