You need a Microsoft account to play?? Really??? Wish i saw that before i purchased it. Screw useless accounts and setups. I want to play a game, not create another stupid account for no good reason.
"your account was locked" after they did not accept my microslop account, i made a new one, and it was locked cannot play even offline high seas = better experience
a handsome collection of every mainline halo game since 2001, all.. well, somewhat neatly packaged into one very fairly priced bundle. while the master chief collection was absurdly broken for its original console release a little over a decade ago, almost all of the issues therein have since been rectified (some very minor problems and inaccuracies from the original releases do remain, however; such as the ai behavior tick rate, and many barely noticeable graphical errors). despite that, i do still consider this to be the definitive way to run through all of the old halo titles. it boasts many major graphical improvements over the originals, such as support for much higher framerates, display resolutions, and improved graphical fidelity overall thanks to the two included "anniversary" editions (though many in the community consider combat evolved anniversary's remastered visuals to be unfaithful, as they fundamentally misunderstand the tone, atmosphere, and art style of the original game). while many publishers will simply dump their "remastered" slop onto the market and take the original releases to the chopping block, this game does not do that. you can seamlessly transition from the original and remastered editions of the game at will, with the push of a button while you are actively playing, which is an amazing feature i don't think i've ever seen another game do. they also don't bloat the hell out of the game with asinine microtransactions, which is a HUGE plus in the current climate of the games industry. you are free to peruse the game's supplementary progression system at your own leisure; whether that be through the singleplayer campaigns, or the frantic hellscape that is the multiplayer. in doing so, you unlock sweet little cosmetic goodies that you can use to personalize your gameplay experience. additionally, they've also recently made permanently available most of the seasonal cosmetics from "the exchange", that you previously had to wait several weeks or months for to retrieve, which is quite generous. and, to top it all off, there is also extensive modding support available for every title via the steam workshop, allowing you to spice up the game in numerous ways, which adds nigh infinite fun and replayability. all in all, a fantastic experience all around. you certainly get your money's worth, even while off-sale.
