Gorgeous art and music akin to the Far Lone Sails and Changing Tides titles Okomotive made. The beauty of their games is not complexity but simplicity and a grand landscape that tells the story magnificently through experiencing the changes in the environments. They have a knack for showing the largest emotions through small yet meaningful animations and motions. Very well done 100% recommend all Okomotive games.
Gameplay- ☑ Very good (very easy to learn, just take it slowly and you won't hurt your Calicorns) ☐ Good ☐ Nothing special ☐ Okay for the most part ☐ Bad Graphics- ☐ Masterpiece ☑ Beautiful (i absolutely love the Calicorns, i love that they are all unique. Environments were beautiful and epic) ☐ Good ☐ Will do ☐ Bad ☐ Awful Audio ☐ Amazing ☑ Very good (very ethereal, mood changing and fitting) ☐ Good ☐ Decent ☐ Not too bad ☐ Bad Story- ☑ Lovely/Fascinating (alittle short) ☑ Good ☐ Average ☐ Not great ☐ None Difficult- ☐ Brainlessly mash buttons ☑ Easy (calm game play apart from some sneaky sections) ☐ Significant brain usage ☐ Easy to learn / Hard to master ☐ Not so easy ☐ Difficult The Grind- ☐ Nothing ☑ Isn't necessary to progress (few collectable accessories/missable achievements) ☐ A bit grindy sometimes ☐ Average grind level ☐ Too much grind ☐ Insanity Game Time- ☑ Short (i do wish this game was longer, i explored every inch of maps and replayed for achievements) ☐ Average ☐ Long ☐ Depends on you ☐ Endless Price ☐Just buy it ☐ Worth the price ☑ Wait for sale ☑ Maybe if you have some spare money left (its still a very enjoyable game) ☐ Not recommended Overall Thoughts: I loved being able to name, dress and pet my Calicorns. I did play with the option to turn off death because my heart cannot handle losing even one of my fur babies ( I REALLY LIKE THAT OPTION ty devs). the environments were beautiful and the game play was smooth and simple.
Worked great on Steam Deck, beautiful, beautiful adventure full of wind and rock and earth and smelly beasts
