I am your beast is a game about a man leaving a toxic relationship for a married man that calls him babe Solid game
I found this game through blips and clips of it on tiktok back in January i believe, it had been sitting on my wishlist until it went on a 50% sale to which my partner bought it for me, and let me tell you- I have never fallen in love with a game faster. as a fan of zoomer/boomber shooters (ultrakill, project warlock1/2, doom) i absolutely adore the gameplay elements and the fast pace of it, as well as the weapon throwing mechanics and the fact you cant prepare yourself before a fight, as one of the tips said "the best weapon is the one in your hands right now" and the game never failed to hold up to that. Barehanded or shotgun the flow stayed the same, solid. I like how the game works with you instead of against you when it comes to the enviroment item placements; The herbs are always on the path you are following, enemies are usually grouped around the barrels, its easy to lure them under beehives, it gives me such a rush when i figure out how to use the enviroment to my advantage the story is AMAZING, honestly whoever voiced Harding and Byron, both of them deserve an insane amount of praise, the dialogue also flowed nicely and never felt out of place, the dry humor is an amazing bonus. The soundtrack kept my blood pumping the whole time it was amazing, the song "Dear Diary" at the end of the main story almost made me cry lmao, the music in the cutscenes is so well timed l and i love the visual color choices in them as well The singluar complaint i have is that there isnt more of this game. The gameplay and story are addictive and im already itching for more despite completing the main story and most of the challenges. If you like fast paced boomer shooter style games with challenges and bonuses i highly recommend this, i love the style of having a mini cutscene between levels id say it highly elevated it, the game also isnt very demanding of your pc
9.5/10! It's like Severed Steel, except instead of the 360 camera pan and destructible voxel environments it has trite cringeworthy character dialogue, but I would definitely say this is worth picking up on sale.
