Fun and challenging platformer/shmup game, kinda similar to classic Contra games
I had a Sega Megadrive when I was a kid and my favourite game was Contra Hard Corps. It's one of the old games I still like to replay from time to time. Little did I know it has a true spiritual successor in Iron Meat. Iron Meat is awesome. it's all the good parts of Contra Hard Corps paired with some interesting lore and enemy design with a dash of Eastern European aesthetic on top of that. It's fast paced, pure action, great set pieces, cool bosses - everything you want from a Contra-like game. The game works great on Steam deck, no bugs, low space requirements, very easy on the battery. It's a perfect on-the-road Deck game that will likely never be uninstalled from my device. I *highly* recommend this game for every OG Contra enjoyer as well as for everyone who likes action platformers. Absolute gem.
