Short and sweet metroidvania. Not too difficult, especially when searching for all the upgrades, but can be decently challenging on normal or hard. Conversations made me chuckle, characters and events are charming.
This quickly became one of my favorite metroidvanias! The art style is so cute and the dialogue is witty and funny. The difficulty scales well in a way that made the game difficult but not so much so that I ever wanted to give up (except for maybe on the flying bosses). I cannot recommend this game enough! ♥
I started with Sheepo, and this game improved on that in every way. This is one of the most unique games I've played. The atmosphere, world-building, dialogue, music, level design, and art were all fantastic and cohesive. I loved the concept of stitching the map back together, and getting around the map was generally fun. I'm not a fan of bullet hell games because I suck at them, but that aspect blended pretty well into the MV side. If I could get through it, probably anyone can (though I will say the overworld battles got to me at times). That's my only negative, and since that's entirely based on personal preference and skill, it's not an actual mark against the game. I highly recommend it, and can't wait to play Crypt Custodian.
