Islets

Nice game to play, actually. Dialogues are funny, gameplay isn't overcomplicated, mobs and bosses aren't that hard, so you can relax after work for 2-4 evenings, depends on how much time you'll spend) This author has it's unique style which is adorable (expect his last game ahaha), animations are smooth and everything is easy to learn. Definately will play his other games (already have all of them in my library :D)

I'm not a big metroidvania guy but this was relaxing and fun to play. I finished the game and will be trying more metroidvania games thanks to my experience with this one.

Reminds me of old flash games when I was in highschool. It's very very simple, the platforming is smooth and good. The combat is a bit lacking in terms of complexity, but I wouldn't say it's bad necessarily. Artstyle is simple, but very pretty for what it is. I would describe Islets as a minimalist metroidvania.
