This game is so good. I can proudly say I finished it with all achievements—thanks to my friend who helped me out. It Takes Two really gives you a different kind of gaming experience; you do so many things together. Following May and Cody’s story made me realize how decisions can shape someone’s way of thinking (you’ll get it when you play). I’m happy with the ending,
but I still ask for justice for the elephant :< I don’t think the queen deserved that.
This game really earned its GOTY title.
whoever designed the elephant scene owes me therapy. still feel guilty for murdering him. despite the emotional trauma, it’s a fun and easy co-op game with a beautiful story, fun mini-games, and enough teamwork to save your relationship instead of ending it. 10/10.
It’s a TWO-PLAYER CO-OP-ONLY, linear action-adventure game, with a lot of exaggerated cuteness and “family” humor. For sure, one the best split-screen or local co-op game to enjoy with your spouse, kid aged 10+, or sibling. It’s driven by a sentimental family-story background, mixed with magic, which explains all the crazy, entertaining, and symbolic stuff you get to see. It keeps you constantly interested by introducing ever-changing and amusing new mechanics, frequently changing the pace, and including scattered competitive mini-games. Throughout the 15-hour playthrough, it kept surprising me with new, creative ways to force cooperation at every step. The graphics are cartoony in style, and yet the lighting and scale of the environments make for some pretty impressive scenes at times. The voice acting and sound effects are very good, but I hardly noticed any music. It runs great. It can be played in online co-op, but you’ll need comms, and sharing it with family probably complements the experience.
