Create your Sim's unique Star Wars story as you explore the remote world of Batuu, from Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland and Disney World, in The Sims 4: Journey to Batuu. Will your Sim join up with the Resistance, fall in with the scoundrels, or enlist with the First Order? It's up to you! Build up your Sim's reputation to unlock missions, purchase a lightsaber or droid, and meet iconic Star Wars characters like Rey and Kylo Ren.

Runs well on modern hardware.

This is an experience everyone deserves, defined by both notable style and (emotional) substance, and there are hundreds of great reviews that dig into the point and synopsis of Journey, so I wont do that. I'll let you, gaming nerd, know what I think of the whole thing, cos it won't appeal to everyone. Isn't just a walking sim? Well, if it is, it's a terrible one. While not on rails exactly, it is kinda and you can finish by just moving forwards and occasionally following glowing lights but there's no real expectation of you to find anything out other than what comes along the way. So it has no actual gameplay or mechanics then? No, it absolutely does and they are deeply integrated but in such a clever way that you don't really realise, and then you realise how good the mechanics are. This game is built intrinsically, so that every sense you feel and action you take builds like an old skool game with levelling up, just far less obviously. So it's flim-flam, a highbrow indie cinema of a game then? Yeees, maybe... and also no. You definitely need to be in the mood for this type of thing but if and when you are it does gather you up in every respect and carry you along really pleasantly. In a moment of appreciation you'll find wonder in every aspect of this game, the art-style, the audio direction, the gameplay and the storytelling. But if you're not, or you just came off of a 3 hour Counter Strike bender you're probably gonna wtf, and also if you're not interested in games as art or emotional conveyors. So, come on game nerd - are you ever up for a change of pace, a different experience from Rocket League or Apex Legends? This is the beginning and end of Watership Down wrapped up in a game (without the violent horrific bits) and it WILL move you if you let it. Final points to note, cleverly it allows a.n.other player to join you (you'll see one around occasionally) but you cant communicate other than the chant, but there are benefits of teaming up including some of the achievement. And the game IS very simple both in demands and controls, beautifully so. It reminds me of another first-party Playstation game - Flower, which for ages I thought was just a tech demo / introduction of the new controller capabilities until I eventually realised there's actually a game to progress in there! Thoroughly recommended, but totally dependant on your mood and gaming mindset
Just a short cozy game which mesmerizes you throughout it's journey. Great soundtrack and visuals. loved it :D
This was a very beautiful tear-jerking experience. I enjoyed my time, and while I played it YEARS after it's release I was surprised to bump into another person early in the game. And we stuck it out together to the VERY end. I don't know who you were, but I hope you had the same lovely experience I had. It's a relatively simple game and I highly recommend playing it at least once. BIG END SPOILER
I am a little sad there's a language barrier between the person and I have. I would of loved to hear from their perspective if they enjoyed it as well, I found their steam profile and I've attempted to add them, and they've not accepted it but, regardless I hope they enjoy the rest of their life. That was a lovely experience I shared with them and I hope some day they see that.
