Okay hear me out. As someone who absolutely hate horror games this game is fantastic. It's not too hard in terms of gameplay, in fact it is rather relaxing (i know, relaxing in a horror game is definetely a choice). Story is fantastic in my opinion but i get when some people say they don't like it. The atmosphere is great as well, images and the soundtrack (omg). It got a good scare out of me here and there but nothing that made my scaredy cat booty wanna alt+f4 immediately. Give it a try, trust me. It's a hella good experience
Great game. Psychedelic, orwellian, absorbing, visually beautiful and overall ambitious. It starts as a trippy walking simulator with some light-puzzles; as the story evolves and gets more clear, it starts throwing in boss fights too. Story-telling wise, it's a very ambitious game that lays down the premises for a greater story. In its best moments, it borders on hallucinogenic while managing to deliver emotionally. Story-telling wise, a few moments might result a bit vague in the way they're presented. The gameplay feels like it could have been a bit more even. It is mostly based on puzzles that are not too complex, while the boss fights are a complete change of style, pace, type and level of challenge. It works, especially cause it's overall so nice and well-done, but at times it feels a bit rough around the edges and could use a bit more balance.
I loved it! I feel like it was more of a cinematic experience than a game. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It takes you down so many twists and turns. Such a fascinating undertone and atmosphere. Really gets in your mind and that is part of the charm. In a sense it's like a metaphor for a fight for your consciousness in the world. I do recommend it if you enjoy these kind of experiences!
