Ember Lab's very first project is a beautiful adventure set in an even more beautiful universe, and while it's borrowing a lot of its core components from different games of the genre, it still feels fresh and stands on its own. Kena is a masterpiece that completely misleads you with its looks. At first glance, it looks like a cute, heartwarming animated fairytale where you collect adorable little Rot creatures and enjoy stunning graphics but it is actually a very challenging game. I played through it three times on different difficulties and got 100 percent of the achievements. Trust me, on higher difficulties the game is really tough! The boss fights require good timing, parrying, and a lot of patience. But when you finally win, the feeling of success is so great. Beautiful world, amazing music, and great gameplay. Definitely recommended and I cannot wait for Kena 2!

The first thing that catches the eye when playing this great action adventure game is its cuteness. In a beautiful world, the player has to fight, collect, parcour and have some hard and sometimes challenging fighting. This is not a game for someone who needs to be guided in everything - sometimes certain functions and even fighting mechanics have to be discovered by oneself. It is stable, is long enough to have some good action in it and to tell the story appropriately. It seems to have many fans and that is for a reason. To keep this brief: strong recommendation.
