Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess

8/10 - A lost Ps2 classic Absolutely fantastic AA title, great sound design and a unique twist on tower defence. If you temper your expectations this really plays like a lost Clover game. Really refreshing to play a title with such a limited scope and basic storyline, it isn't trying to change the world it's just a fun self contained adventure.

Incredible art direction, mediocre storyline, nice narration, clunky gameplay and some very slow moments in game that are boring at best, but overall a nice title.

I am not big on parry mechanics or tower defense games, but I thoroughly enjoyed this game - it is such a breath of fresh air. I love the music, atmosphere and art style and if you ever played Shinsekai: Into the Depths it is very apparent how much care went into both games. This takes me back to the sixth generation of console games and older game development attitudes where the developers wanted to make a game as a passion project and the sentiment was reciprocated by the players. I understand the price being a point of contention for some, so I would recommend getting it on sale. Capcom removed the Denuvo DRM, but I cannot confirm if Denuvo got replaced with Enigma or not. I wish to see more games with a similar design philosophy from big studios and small ones alike.
