Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is a 2023 action-adventure game developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega. It is a spin-off of the Like a Dragon series. Taking place during the events of Yakuza: Like a Dragon (2020), Like a Dragon Gaiden focuses on the series' original protagonist, Kazuma Kiryu, as he embarks on a new adventure in Osaka under the guise of a secret agent.

Runs well on modern hardware.

What a game! Feels like a spin-off until it doesn't... - Story is freaking PEAK; - Gameplay is incredible (top 3 combat systems for me together with Yakuza 0 & K2); - Visuals are beautiful; - Kiryu is a badass; Probably the most emotional ending in the series if you played all the previous games! Must-play for all the Yakuza fans!!!
I have kept up with Kiryu through 7 games and this one, I had my eyes on this game the whole time. After catching up to the lengthy almost 20 year history with this character, I was hopeful and excited to explore an older Kiyru. While this game is shorter than every Yakuza game to date, I was solely dedicated to Kiyru and his growth and loss throughout the series. While I was disappointed with its length initially, I was very concise and digestible. I definitely shed a tear.
For a guy who "erased his name" Kiryu sure gets spotted by half of Japan. Peak Kiryu aura
For me, it lands solidly in the top 2 Yakuza games, right after 0. Honestly, this game hit me way harder than i expected. It's short , but that s exactly why it works, no dragging just clean focused story without the usual "40 hours of random ♥♥♥♥ before the plot moves again" vibe Side quests are straight up total cinema, full of references and fanservice to older games, even Judgment (wich i somehow still haven't played YET) But the ending... impactful as hell. THE MOST emtionally loaded finale in the whole series
