Little Nightmares II is a puzzle-platform horror adventure game developed by Tarsier Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The story follows Mono, who must work together with Six, the protagonist from Little Nightmares, to survive the horrors of the Pale City and discover its dark secrets. The game was released for Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows and Xbox One on 11 February 2021. An upgraded version, titled Little Nightmares II: Enhanced Edition, was developed by Supermassive Games and released on 25 August 2021 for PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S.

Runs well on modern hardware.

The story’s a bit longer than the first one, enemies seem a bit harder this time and the puzzles are better in places, but I still like the first game more as it just felt creepier to me. One big difference is you play as Mono this time with 'Six' following you as an AI companion. She helps out with puzzles and reacts to things a bit, which makes it feel as if you were playing with someone. Now that I’ve finished both first and second game, I’ll probably play the third one as well. 9/10
The art direction, character designs, and atmosphere of Little Nightmares II are its greatest strengths. The gameplay starts decent enough with platforming, stealth, and puzzle-solving but grows frustrating due to the player knowing what they need to do but the controls or field of view prevent success. Many segments involved dying over and over again before progress could be made. Thankfully the checkpoints were (mostly) forgiving. The biggest grief I have is the plot. It felt too similar to its predecessor. I was disappointed but I usually am with horror game storytelling. I still plan on trying Little Nightmares III but definitely not a preorder for me. I recommend this game to those who enjoyed Inside or Limbo.
I've played LN1&2 over the last few days, and the first game hooked me instantly. The horror atmosphere, soundscape, and graphics are phenomenal. LN2 feels like an extended version of LN1, which I appreciate, but I was hoping for more gameplay mechanics. They're both still great games and stand out for their incredible atmosphere.
