Finished the game and now craving for more. PLEASE CONTINUE TO BUILD THE GAME! I love everything about this game, the visual, the small details, the sound and music. More of this game pleaseee. RECOMMENDED
I'd usually play a game longer before reviewing, but I'm not going to be at the computer for the next ten hours and wanted to post a review before I left, because... This game is ridiculously charming. I don't think I've ever played another game before where just CLICKING on things is somehow fun; the amount of obvious care and love put into this game is fantastic. EVERY item in every scene reacts to being clicked on, almost always with bespoke sound effects, and often with bespoke animations, too. Speaking of animations.... the amount of work that must have been put into the art in this game is absurd. There are basically no repeated assets ANYWHERE. There's just hand drawn art and animation all over the place. It's so nice. If you like lost and found games, or just art in general, buy this now. It's such a nice and charming game. The characters, art, music, and general vibe are all just super nice. This is a perfect game to grab some snacks and just sink into and relax with. Easy recommend.
Lost and Found Co. is a hidden object game in the spirit of Where’s Waldo, similar in feel to Hidden Folks or Labyrinth City: Pierre the Maze Detective, but considerably more colorful and story-driven, with a narration brimming with charm, humor, and a wholesome warmth that carries throughout the entire experience. The premise is delightfully absurd: a dragon goddess spends the last of her divine power to resurrect a duckling, who has just died after mistaking a keychain for a taiyaki (a Japanese fish-shaped cake) and swallowing it whole, by transforming him into a human boy. Facing extinction without worshippers, the two decide to open a Lost & Found company to rebuild her reputation and gather believers. This sets the stage for the core gameplay loop: taking on quirky client requests to track down their misplaced belongings. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3682750429 Between levels, the story unfolds through cutscenes that alternate lengthy dialogue exchanges and animated comic-style panels. These sequences shape the personality of the characters in a very vibrant way and give the game a narrative weight uncommon in the genre. The hidden object scenes, while extensive themselves, offer a satisfying counterbalance to the narrative interludes, striking a perfect balance throughout the game. The gameplay strongly encourages exploration, and it feels incredibly rewarding to poke around every corner of a scene. The environments are highly interactive; almost everything wiggles, makes sounds, or reacts when clicked, making the search process feel very playful. Progression is also nicely structured. Alongside the main story chapters, there are additional side maps packed with multiple secondary objectives beyond simply finding the required items. Completing them earns reputation, which is needed to unlock new story chapters. Handily, these side tasks are categorized by difficulty (easy, medium, and hard), allowing you to calibrate the challenge as you work toward the next reputation tier. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3682750529 No hidden object game is complete without a hint system, and Lost and Found Co. handles this elegantly. Each item comes with a location clue revealed by clicking its preview image, while finding objects or completing bonus tasks rewards additional hints. A more precise hint is also available, though rarer, as it requires collecting special ghost items scattered throughout levels. Most objects are findable without any assistance, but a handful are concealed so well that they’re difficult to spot even when using the advanced hints. Reaching new popularity tiers unlocks decorations for the goddess’s shrine, which serves as your main hub. You can also purchase furniture packs and decorative items from the in-game shop to fully customize Duky’s room. Every object encountered across the hidden object levels eventually becomes available to purchase, and with prices kept deliberately low, you are free to experiment endlessly with decorative combinations. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3682750278 Overall, Lost and Found Co. is cozy, creative, and filled with small interactive details that bring its world to life. Whether you’re a fan of classic hidden object games, relaxing exploration, or narrative-driven wholesome experiences, this title is absolutely worth your time.
