I'm giving this a thumb's up at 2.5 hours and also not playing any more. Why? Because this is clearly an excellent game that provides a superb kind of fun that I have zero interest in. I can understand why other people would love it. So, thumb's up. if you like highly linear first person shooter fights with lots of running and jumping around, this game is your thing. Turns out, I don't like that, or at least don't like this specific variation of it.
Let me start by I absolutely 10/10 love this game BUT There is unfixed bugs. God Mode achievement doesn't work (probably more than just that) New Game + doesn't have Any dialogue / story to it (just why?) and feels just strange I beat the game and went to NG+ and I can't even progress past Paradise Lost, the shield won't lower for me to continue the level. So.. Another bug. I'm just disappointed. This game is amazing and I loved RUINER, but not sure if I'll get RUINER 2 with the way this game was handled. Apparently the previous NG+ update even deleted saves? Oh, also if you try to change the audio while in NG+ the game warns you about not being able to earn achievements from changing difficulty. So changing audio is tied to that too? Who knows what else Holy disappointment I genuinely love this game I don't want to leave a negative review but why is this game so buggy? Just got God Mode from doing Gauntlet I guess but still doesn't fix the other problems I played through Gauntlet entirely in one session, enjoyable mode so it's good content. Why did I get the Kill Nexus achievement during that though and not during the campaign? Another bug. I really hope devs fix everything here. Also why was the game even $40 now it's price cut to $20 with sales being $10? It should've been $20 from the start yeah what a mess
This is a tricky one. Ultimately i recommend the game, but in all honesty this game would be netiher a recommend or not recommend from me. I recommend, because there is not really any serious problem with the game. However there is nothing especially good about it either. The gameplay, combat, progression is ok. On the other hand there is not much story here, or one i care enough about. The game is short. It does not have pretty much any replayability factor. There are a few easily findable bugs (falling through terrain, final boss bugging out, etc.). The biggest problem for me however was that i neither enjoyed or hated playing the game. It was always between the two. I just played the game without making me feel anything about it. If you are interested in buying the game play the demo before, because that it is pretty much you will find in the game. I would also recommend waiting for a sale.
